Airflow Testing

We will test the airflow in your dryer system. If there is any kind of blockage or disconnect in your dryer’s ventilation system it can cause a loss of airflow in your dryer. Our technicians know the proper airflow that is needed to flow out of your venting system. We’ll evaluate the flow and if we find that it is not significant, we will trace your system to determine where the issue might be.

Loss of airflow can come from a number of areas. It could be from lint, piled up in the system or a crushed dryer hose that can create a blockage in your system. If this happens the hot air cannot flow past the blockage, causing a loss of airflow. The first step we’ll perform is to clear the system of any lint. If we find a lot of lint in the system most likely it will alleviate the problem immediately.

We test the airflow from the outside vent. The outside dryer vent is where you want all your hot air to flow, away from your home. If we find decreased airflow at the house vent if could be a problem with your system. If clearing the lint doesn’t increase the airflow, we’ll continue to inspect your system. A broken hose could be a cause for decrease in airflow. A loose clamp or detached hose could also be a cause of loss in airflow. No matter what the cause we are here for you and we’ll get your system running in peek condition for your family’s safety and efficiency.
