Vent Repair or Replacement

Vent repair and replacement are important to your system. If you see that your outside vent is damaged, or that the hose coming from behind your dryer is damaged in any way, it is highly recommended that you stop using the dryer until the repair is made.

The outside vent to your dryer is located on the same wall as the dryer. A visual inspection of the vent can tell you the condition of the vent. If you see damaged vents or a lack of airflow coming from the vent when the dryer is on, there is an issue. These outside vents are subject to damage due to the elements, snow, ice, and rain can cause damage. If you see any damage it is best to replace the damaged portion of the vent system. It’s relatively inexpensive and can prevent a lot of headaches in the future.
